something like art :)

I love giving presents for Christmas but I'm not so good with choosing them. As I am a terrible person when it comes to decision making, you can imagine how hard it must've been making up my mind on what presents to choose.. 

This year I've decided, after 2 months of constantly changing my mind, to surprise my fiancé with a hand made gift. So...I introduce you to my not so great painting skills and to our new friend Cartman :)

Basics

What can you do on a cold rainy day, when you don't feel like leaving the warmth of your home. Well, you can try on the things that you always say you don't have time for. I made a list of them and maybe you can get some inspiration:

• read the book that's been sitting on your nightstand for a while (I have a few :));
• movie marathon;
• start a DIY project;
• invite friends over for some fun games (monopoly, backgammon, scrabble,...); 
• bake cookies, one of my favorite activities for I love the smell of something sweet baking in the oven, it takes me back to childhood;
• redecorate;
• drink a home made hot chocolate and watch the rain....nehh, this might be boring, after the first 15 minutes :)). Obviously I could use some advice.. What do you do on a cold rainy day?

taste heaven

Sometimes I just want to eat something else for breakfast, and even though this is not necessarily a breakfast dish, I gave it a try one of these mornings. Just smear some butter on bread, add different choices of cheese (I used parmesan, goat cheese and portuguese cheese - Serra da Estrela) and bacon. Nicely throw it in the oven and leave it for 10 minutes. Meanwhile cut some fresh tomatoes and mix with basil, garlic, olive oil and salt. When the bread is done, take it out, spread some of the delicious tomatoes mix on it and taste heaven (my fiancé used some colored wording, that I could not reproduce here, to describe the way he tastes heaven :) ). You won't regret it!

Cold sunny Sunday..

I bought this skirt from the market in Bangkok. I fell in love with it instantly. The colour and the length are perfect so I was wearing it in different combinations ever since. But lately, because of the cold weather I kind of forgotten about it as the texture is not the perfect match for an autumn day. However, because I like it so much I have discovered a mix that's not so bad for a cold sunny Sunday :). Hope you like it..

I fall for autumn..

When I was a little girl my favourite season was autumn. I used to be a quiet, introvert child and maybe that's why I loved this season of melancholy. But since then I have changed a bit and nowadays spring is the season I love most, mainly because it's the time of the year that screams rebirth. Even so, a first love shall never be forgotten..
