What can you do on a cold rainy day, when you don't feel like leaving the warmth of your home. Well, you can try on the things that you always say you don't have time for. I made a list of them and maybe you can get some inspiration:

• read the book that's been sitting on your nightstand for a while (I have a few :));
• movie marathon;
• start a DIY project;
• invite friends over for some fun games (monopoly, backgammon, scrabble,...); 
• bake cookies, one of my favorite activities for I love the smell of something sweet baking in the oven, it takes me back to childhood;
• redecorate;
• drink a home made hot chocolate and watch the rain....nehh, this might be boring, after the first 15 minutes :)). Obviously I could use some advice.. What do you do on a cold rainy day?

taste heaven

Sometimes I just want to eat something else for breakfast, and even though this is not necessarily a breakfast dish, I gave it a try one of these mornings. Just smear some butter on bread, add different choices of cheese (I used parmesan, goat cheese and portuguese cheese - Serra da Estrela) and bacon. Nicely throw it in the oven and leave it for 10 minutes. Meanwhile cut some fresh tomatoes and mix with basil, garlic, olive oil and salt. When the bread is done, take it out, spread some of the delicious tomatoes mix on it and taste heaven (my fiancé used some colored wording, that I could not reproduce here, to describe the way he tastes heaven :) ). You won't regret it!

Cold sunny Sunday..

I bought this skirt from the market in Bangkok. I fell in love with it instantly. The colour and the length are perfect so I was wearing it in different combinations ever since. But lately, because of the cold weather I kind of forgotten about it as the texture is not the perfect match for an autumn day. However, because I like it so much I have discovered a mix that's not so bad for a cold sunny Sunday :). Hope you like it..

I fall for autumn..

When I was a little girl my favourite season was autumn. I used to be a quiet, introvert child and maybe that's why I loved this season of melancholy. But since then I have changed a bit and nowadays spring is the season I love most, mainly because it's the time of the year that screams rebirth. Even so, a first love shall never be forgotten..

Poate ati citit, sau nu, intr-un post anterior ca saptamana trecuta mi-am sarbatorit ziua de nastere...nu spun a cata, nu pentru ca mi-ar fi rusine, dar parca nu are asa de mare importanta. Data fiind marea sarbatoare :) iubitul meu s-a gandit, si bine a facut, sa ma surprinda. Cum? Povestea a fost cam asa.

El a propus si impreuna am decis sa ne petrecem un weekend prelungit la Bistrita, sa ne vizitam parintii ca si asa nu-i vazusem de ceva vreme insa, in ziua plecarii.. de precizat ca eu pregatisem bagajele ce ne asteptau cuminti la usa, gata de drum...m-a anuntat ca plecarea nu se mai intampla, cel putin nu la Bistrita. Primul meu impuls a fost sa nu il cred...o fii o gluma?! Ei bine, nu era.

A doua zii am luat avionul cu destinatia: Istanbul. Un oras plin de farmec oriental. Trebuie sa recunosc ca nu ma asteptam sa-mi placa atat de mult. M-au cucerit stradutele inguste, ecoul solemn al chemarii la rugaciune care se auzea de cateva ori pe zi, traficul nebun dar firesc pentru un oras cu nu mai putin de 13 milioane de locuitori, kebabul, baclavaua si rahatul si mai ales Moscheea lui Baiazid (cineva stie de ce). Pe scurt, m-as intoarce, si cu siguraanta o sa ma intorc pentru ca surpriza nu s-a limitat doar la excursie.

Viitorul meu fost iubit mi-a daruit un inel iar eu am spus "da". Un "da" gatuit de emotie dar sigur si fericit. De asta spun, cu siguranta, ca ma voi intoarce in Istanbul..la Moscheea lui Baiazid...:)

Oriental walk..

For my Birthday my sweet loving boyfriend took me to Istanbul. Fabulous city where I had a great time, but I will tell you more in a different post. This is what I wore in one of these days.

Office day

I think the item we use most in our office outfits is the white shirt. It is so versitile, practic but also chic and it can be worn in so many different ways, it only requires a bit of imagination. The one I chose is the most simple that you can pick so I thought I should add a bit of colour to bring it to life. Now, it's not always easy to get up in the morning and be instantly inspired, so whenever I feel like the inspiration is lacking I pick the white top, which can be a shirt or a simple t-shirt, and go from there. How do you solve your uncreative mornings?

When I've put this dress on in the morning I thought it's a great looking dress but something was missing. So I've accesorized it with some flowers and then I was pleased. I really think that sometimes an accessory can changhe the look of an outfit completely, you just need to have the courage to play and be creative.

"pick me up"

Tiramisu is one of the most simple cakes to make. But this is not the strong point of this sweet delight. Besides the fact that it takes about 15 minutes to make it, it is the taste that makes it one if my favourites deserts. But you must make it with mascarpone not cream if you want it to taste like heaven. This one I made last week for my birthady and you can find a receipe here, the only ingredient I didn't use is the liquer. You can be very creative as there are many variations on tiramisu and you can play with it and choose the one you like most. Enjoy :)

Over the past weekend Bucharest was packed with events that brought color and life to the city. There was something to do for anyone who didn't wanted to stay in. You could've chosen from theatre plays, the opening at Antipa museum or a picnic in the park. Me and my girlfriends went for a shopping spree at the Absolutely Fabulous Fashion&Vintage Fair where a lot of young talents displayed their absolutely fabulous designs. There were plenty to choose from and we left with our hands full of goodies.

Nude is what you need..

This summer I've purchased 3 pairs of nude high heels and I've been wearing them almost every day. At work, going out in the evening or just for some shopping in the afternoon they turned out to be the perfect choice. The colour is what makes them so versatile so that you can pair them with almost anything. Sadly, summer will not be with us for much longer so now I need some autumn heels that can replace my summer addiction.

One of these past weekends, in an attempt to avoid the heat of the apartment, we decided to rent a bike from Herastrau Park and take it for a ride in the city (if you didn't know it is free to rent, all you need is an ID). It turned out to be a very good idea as we had a great time and when hunger kicked in we had a feast at one of my favourite restaurants. A tasty salad and a chocolate souffle to die for were just what we needed to end a perfect day.

At a certain point in life every girl has a dream about how it would be if she were a princess...it makes me smile because I was never into fairytales so I don't remember myself dreaming about being a princess.

Now I wonder if either there is something wrong with me (and I doubt it :) ) or maybe I am just wrong when I say every little girl dreams about it. Anyhow..wearing a long dress or skirt makes you feel somehow princess like, it gives you a certain arogant grace, if that is possible :). From time to time we should let ourselves get a feel of the royal touch..though it may be a piece of clothe or something else...whatever makes you find a scent of "royal"..

This past weekend I visited my parents up north. Whenever I go home I feel like a child all over again..no work, no responsibilities, no worries..so I try to escape the busy city and find "shelter" at my other home whenever I can. It's my little treat and after two days I feel brand new, ready to face the rumour and the daily crazy life again..I wore this outfit to go out for the evening. The shorts have just the prefect lenght to be decent but not dull and I love how they match the green top which, with it's light fabric, is perfect for a hot summer evening.
